Case Study - SER Supplies Ltd

A P Systems have recently installed a variety of new technology for Invergordon based SER Supplies Ltd. This included barcode scanning & printing devices, data capture devices and software to link to their Pegasus Opera 3 accounts system. Staff are now able to input orders then transfer to the handheld system for stock picking all at a click of a button print out the delivery notes resulting in prompt invoicing.

The new technology provides SER with proof of delivery, advanced purchasing techniques and greater stock control.

Managing Director Spencer Ruck explained: as our company has grown it has in turn outgrown many of the systems we had used historically. A P Systems has worked closely with us to give greater control over every aspect of the business and to realise greater efficiency in all departments. In particular the mobile technology is a major cost-saving benefit for us as without it we would have needed to employ additional admin staff with resultant costs. Also by utilising Opera 3 to a much more advanced level than before we have instant access to information which gives is a complete up-to the minute picture being able to have instant access to stock levels and costs providing efficient responses to quotation requests from clients from Aberdeen to Hartlepool all from our Invergordon office.
