Microsoft Teams, the savvy communications tool that enables organisations to collaborate and communicate effectively from anywhere, any time. From conducting important business meetings and sharing files to using the chat function.
It comes as part of your Microsoft 365 package which gives you first-class productivity and collaboration tools, as well as advanced security and device management capabilities.
Some of the new Microsoft Teams features include updates to Together Mode, breakout rooms for large meetings, and even the chance to focus on your mental health. Here’s the scoop on what’s in store.
Work commutes are a double-edged sword, proving the commute isn’t too stressful it allows you time to mentally prepare for the day ahead.
Research now suggests it’s harder to transition from work to home without the traditional commute. Users will be able to schedule their virtual commute pre- and post-work to regain some personal time.
Microsoft’s new virtual commute feature is expected to be released in 2021.
Microsoft has also partnered with Headspace to introduce a selection of meditation and mindfulness experiences to Teams.
Meditation breaks will be available as part of the virtual commute, or as a mindfulness break during the day.
Microsoft Teams added speaker attribution to live captions so that you can see who is speaking along with what’s being said, making meetings more inclusive and easier to follow along.
Teams meeting and call recordings can now be stored in your OneDrive for Business or in SharePoint, providing the ability to share recordings with guests or external users, access meeting recordings faster, and manage recordings with security and compliance controls available to other file types in Microsoft 365.
